The 19th annual Golf Classic went down in the history books raising a well over the projected fundraising goal for Children at Risk. Hosted by Fox 26’s Melissa Wilson at The Woodland’s Country Club the popular event raised almost $100,000 for the children.

Attracting the likes of Country Singer Chris Cagle, Kylee, famous Houston influencer (@whinetowine on insta) and her hubby from Houston Raceway, Mark Troth, Caroline Kenny, David Cook, and some of the amazing, dedicated officers from Houston Police Department’s Human Trafficking Division, just to name a few.

To say that a good time was had by all might be an understatement. Each hole offered something fun for the players from Killen’s Steakhouse and St. Arnold beer to kangaroo jerky, massages and yes, even bobbing for candy Caddyshack style!
Next year is the big 20th anniversary of the event so make sure you sign up as quickly as possible because it’s bound to be a doozie!

Children at Risk was founded in 1989 with the goal of improving the quality of life for children through strategic research, public policy analysis, education, collaboration and advocacy.
